The Travellers Rest & O'Briens Tavern are ideally located in the picturesque town of Mohill in the heart of Co. Leitrim.The Travellers Rest is situated in the town centre opposite the Post Office.
When arriving from Dublin or the N4, you will approach a crossroads in the town centre. Go straight through and we are on the right next door to O'Brien's Tavern.
If arriving from Carrick-on-Shannon, go straight down to crossroads and turn left.
If Arriving from Lough Rynn or Cavan, go to the centre of the town and at the crossroads turn right.
About Mohill:
Mohill Town in South County Leitrim is built on a slope toward Rynn River. Mohill has a growing population and is supported by local industry and enterprise, as well as agriculture and Tourism. The population of Mohill and the surrounding areas is approximately 2000 people.
Mohill is renowned for its friendly, hospitable people, with more than its fair share of characters, where a good time is guaranteed. It’s a great place to experience the countryside, with green fields, rolling hills, and lakes galore to see.
It’s also a great place to meet for a party, and weddings are extremely popular in the area.
The O’Carolan Monument is situated at the bottom of the town, a tribute to Turlough O’Carolan, a blind Harpist and composer who lived in Mohill and made his living from playing to the rich.

There are two churches in the town, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at the top of the town and St. Mary’s Church of Ireland at the bottom.
